You have to take all these 'catching' with a 'pinch of salt'.....it hardly scratches the surface....the DNA is to 'makan duit'....how to eradicate that?. The show is now on...catch a few here & there...later, when things quieten down...what those 'stolen'...will be quietly 'distributed' first to those who caught them taking the first bite usually the government & 'gang' & then redistributed back to 'those who stole'..

Its diversionary from the 1MDB which was the was the biggest robbery of state assets. To cover and replenish what he and his family members stole, Najib promptly tuned up at China's Belt and Road event and collected their grant/loan. Look at all the corrupt nations that ruined up for grants - Pakistan, Philippines etc. Now the whole country is beholden to China. Its common knowledge that most of these loans will be written off in return for various access and special favours.
These anti-corruption drive will carry on until elections.

What about loss of moneys from Citigroup and GIC? How to replenish missing money and divert attention I wonder.
Singapore has a more elaborate way of covering losses. MOF will pass on state assets like airport, power plants to temasek at below market value to temasek which are then sold at market prices which becomes profit in temaseks books.
