it's safer than oakland, where drive by shootings happen everyday and someone is shot. or sf, where someone gets killed every other day. or san jose, where 5 shootings happened since memorial day. and in sg, you just never know when someone is going to fall on you from a highrise flat. :p
johor is pretty safe, so long if you don't flash your cash like a sinkie.
