Compromised speed at 140km/hr. But it can actually go 160. Reason for this is dual track needs to accommodate commuter as well as cargo trains on same track.

Badawi cancelled the project way back in 2003 when he became PM otherwise it would be ready by 2010.

LOL, nope. Have you taken a ride in one yet? My guess is no.

I took a ride up north from Gemas, before the JB-Gemas track was electrified. I had to alight at Gemas, wait a while (you can explore the small shithole town) as the railway workers prepared the new train for boarding.

Your guess is wrong. I took the ride from Padang Besar to KL, rNr @ KL for 2 nights, took ETS from KL Sentral to Gemas, crossed over to the opposite platform for Gemas to JB Sentral on a shitty train where you shit directly onto the tracks.
