Johor Baru nightclub death: Son caught for robbery

Just three months ago, his father, Mr Lah Lee Hock, died in Johor Baru after a night of partying with the family.
Lah Wee Siong, 17, had said then he would take over the role of head of the family after his father died on May 29.
But at the end of last month, he was sent to the Reformative Training Centre for a robbery he committed in April. His 37-year-old father is believed to have suffered a heart attack possibly triggered by the Ecstasy he allegedly took.
On Sunday, Wee Siong's girlfriend Felicia Ding, 18, said he had robbed a woman near the Gracehaven home in Yio Chu Kang in April. 'The family was really poor then and he couldn't find a job, so he resorted to that,' she said in Mandarin. 'But he has changed for the better and he is studying for the O levels now.'
