Joe Teo still stays on in Board of Governors depiste er new post

SINGAPORE: Member of Parliament for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC Josephine Teo has relinquished her position as Chief Executive Officer of Business China, an organisation that nurtures an inclusive bilingual and bi-cultural group of Singaporeans.

She had held the post since July 2009 and stepped down on May 20.

Mrs Teo, who will become Minister of State for Finance and Transport, will continue to serve in the Board of Directors.

Business China was officially launched on November 19 2007 by its patron, Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and China's Premier Wen Jiabao.

Its mission is to nurture a bilingual and bi-cultural group of Singaporeans through the extensive use of the Chinese language to sustain Singapore's multi-cultural heritage and develop a cultural and economic bridge linking the world and China.

In a statement on Saturday, Chairman Chua Thian Poh said that under Mrs Teo's leadership, Business China organised a series of activities to enhance Singaporeans' capabilities to tap on the opportunities arising from China's economic development.

In particular, she created the FutureChina Global Forum, which is an annual congregation of China experts, top government officials and business executives, as well as thought leaders around the world to provide insights and networking opportunities on China.

Mrs Teo also initiated the China Learning Journeys for students to deepen their appreciation on China's development.

I thought a minister is a full time job. Can they still take up directorship?

Actually, there is no difference whatsoever whether she is director, ceo, coe or whatever. This airhead of a flower vase minister is there for show; the best of the worst to appease female peasants.

In yesterday's myPaper, she was quoted as saying that the PAP will try to improve its ability to manage the online communications. She said that the PAP has succeeded where the mainstream is concerned and see no reason why the same cannot be achieved online.

For goodness sake, is she not even vaguely aware that the MSM is "successful" because it is run by MIW/ex-MIW, ex-ISD, and current Porlampars?

And she is now a Minister? I can be President Mentor for all ministers.

MSM is not exactly ISD. It's fearful of ISD.
