Woah, from table tennis fiasco soon after Spore's first post-1965 silver medal at the Olympics, she was certainly not soft-hearted and a bit tad politically clumsy as she doused Spore's euphoria with her decision to sack table-tennis team manager Anthony Lee.

"My residents and grassroots leaders have asked me why I always look so jovial and happy. They have never seen me lose my temper over the three years. Unfortunately, this has occasionally been "mistaken" as a "weakness" - being too accommodating and tolerant."
