[100 GRAB BARS]
In most of the seniors' homes, grab bars were installed in the bathroom for them to hold on to and prevent them from slipping. However, grab bars can also serve the seniors in other parts of the house.

Many of our seniors have difficulties getting to the bathroom or getting out of their beds. To ease their movement around the house, our Kreta Ayer Seniors Activity Centre partnered Sixides to install 100 grab bars for seniors who need them.


One of the seniors was Mdm Maskiah from Jalan Minyak, whose house was very nicely kept and decorated. When we visited her, Mdm Maskiah shared that her children had just visited her too and she was very thrilled to have a grab bar installed for her in the walkway to the kitchen. The location of the grab bar was identified by Mdm Maskiah and she shared that the grab bar would be a very good support for her whenever she walks in and out of the kitchen.

I am really glad to witness this meaningful initiative and to know that our seniors can now move around their house with more ease. On behalf of our seniors, I would like to thank Sixides for generously sponsoring and installing the 100 grab bars.
