Malaysian PM Ismail Sabri Wears S$2,170 Burberry Shirt As Citizens Struggle With Inflation
When one is a politician, any move you make is closely watched and results in much discussion.

That extends to what you’re wearing too, even if you’re a guy.

While Malaysian Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob is known for his colourful wardrobe, a Burberry shirt he wore recently has caused him to come under criticism.

That’s because it cost more than S$2,000 — more than the average monthly salary in Malaysia.

Malaysian PM wears pink Burberry shirt at carnival
On Saturday (25 Jun), Mr Ismail Sabri attended the Jom Heboh Carnival in Putrajaya together with thousands of Malaysians.

He showed up for this high-profile appearance in a fetching rose-pink collared shirt with white blotches and the words “universal passport”.

As he shared photos and videos over Facebook of himself cuddling babies and even a cat, his get-up certainly caught the eyes of his citizens — but not in a good way.

What a revolting shirt. So many better shirts thatcost so much less at marks and spencers or thai made shirts sold at haadyai.

There is a rumour that umno plans to take over the entire chicken industry, like what they did to banks and proton.
Beef is even more expensive but no price control.
Current PM has the notion that middlemen are the reason why prices are high and has authorised gomen department to start distributing fishes, chickens, but not beef which is under malay control. My opinion.

He used his own money to buy why cannot leh?
His money is paid by the taxpayers. His luxury enjoyment is morally tight to the prosperity of the people, that is his obligation. When inflation hits, and people cannot afford basic needs, he has to be sensitive to the public feel because he is a public service person. He can only show his expensive owning AFTER most people getting their expensive ownings first.

If he wants to show off his luxuries, then don't be a public service guy, just do private business, no one cares then.

That's why people go into politics. It's so they can buy nice things.
