MOSCOW (Reuters) - A wounded fox shot its would be killer in Belarus by pulling the trigger on the hunter's gun as the pair scuffled after the man tried to finish the animal off with the butt of the rifle, media said Thursday.

The unnamed hunter, who had approached the fox after wounding it from a distance, was in hospital with a leg wound, while the fox made its escape, media said, citing prosecutors from the Grodno region.

"The animal fiercely resisted and in the struggle accidentally pulled the trigger with its paw," one prosecutor was quoted as saying.

Fox-hunting is popular in the picturesque farming region of northwestern Belarus which borders Poland.

We all know that the early bird catches the worm – but in Brisbane it’s the early frog that catches the snake.

Amidst the photos of catastrophe, despair and destruction, computer technician Armin Gerlach snapped a photo of a green frog hitching a ride on the back of a brown snake through the floodwaters.

Mr Gerlach was visiting friends in the flood-hit town of Dalby when he spotted the unlikely pair, ninemsn.com reports.

“I felt amazement, I just couldn’t believe it,” he says.

Mr Gerlach says a friend told him it is not uncommon for animals to help each other during disasters.

“It’s quite common when you have animals in floods or fires or disasters, they actually get together and don’t do anything,” he says.

“[My friend] has seen foxes and rabbits forget their hunting instincts during natural disasters.”

That is taking away (ta pao) dinner on it's back. The snake is saving it's dinner for later, when it can find a good place to eat.

;)

Must be this cock guy wanted to save a bullet after the 1st shot he assumed the fox can not flee, so he use BAYONET FIGHTING instead of firing a final shot. DOING BUTT STROKE. And he forgot to unload rifle before that. So his rifle mis-fired during BAYONET FIGHTING and he told story to blame it on that fox.

During WW2 Japanese Army standing order is to unload rifle until no more ammo before starting Bayonet Fighting.
