Jetstar and AirAsia in partnership talks

Qantas Airways-owned Jetstar and Malaysia’s AirAsia confirmed on Friday they were in talks about a partnership to cut costs and cement their positions as the lowest cost airlines in the Asia-Pacific region.

The still-profitable Australian flag carrier – which remains well positioned compared with its international rivals – confirmed on Friday that its wholly owned subsidiary, Jetstar, and AirAsia have entered preliminary discussions regarding a potential cost-saving joint venture.

If they can change the name to Thai Gal airways, and staffed it with nubile, bikini Thai girls as air stewardess, it might still take off ( I mean the planes, that is)...:D
