Martial arts superstar Jet Li opened up to the media about his family, giving all a rare glimpse into the reclusive star's life.

The 47-year-old star has two daughters out of his 11-year-long marriage to former actress Nina Li. Jet was said to have taken up Singaporean citizenship in 2009 because of his family.

Jet admitted in the interview that he is a strict father who does not pamper his children by giving them whatever they want; he also makes sure to arrange his children's timetable every day.

Having personally experienced the tsunami back in 2004, Jet revealed that he has already written his will to made sure his daughters would not have trouble making ends meet when he is no longer around.

Since setting up the Red Cross Society of China Jet Li One Foundation Project (One Foundation), the well-known philanthropist has been busy with charity events when he is not busy filming.

Jet also said that while he charges S$40,000 for giving a talk in Chinese and a whopping S$55,000 for an English one, he would do it for free if it's for charity.

What can he talk about that is gonna draw listeners? Kung Fu?

Donnie Yen (who acted as Ip Man) is still sore about the time Jet Li accidentally slashed Donnie's face with a weapon during a shoot of Wong Fei Hong (in which Donnie acted as the bad guy), almost permanently blinding Donnie, and landed him in hospital for several days. Donnie was quoted as saying in an annoyed voice during an interview several years back, "I still can't understand how Jet Li, a supposedly highly skilled martial artist, could have made such an amateurish mistake with the weapon in the martial arts cheoreographed scene."

Dear Donnie,

We've enjoyed your movies...

But have you considered "Elimination of Competitors?"

In the movie world / acting arena, if there are too many ACTORS who are GOOD LOOKING, and KNOW GOOD MARTIAL ARTS... there will not be competitive edge.
