Jealous boyfriend shockingly mutilates girlfriend’s face beyond recognition, cuts off both eyelids

On Wednesday, just two days ahead of Halloween, a brutal act worthy of its own horror film happened in central Taiwan.
It’s hard to believe that this 79-year-old retiree, identified just by his surname, Huang, attacked and mutilated his girlfriend, in the sleepy city of Changhua.
The victim, a yoga teacher, had recently visited Japan as part of a large tour group. When Huang heard that another member of the group had been flirting with her, he accused her of cheating on him.
She reportedly told him that nothing had happened and assured him that she still loved him.
After she fell asleep that night, Huang tied her to the bed, stuffed a corner of the blanket into her mouth to muffle the sound of her screams and took a knife to her face.
In a brutal act that puts Kathy Bates’ character from ‘Misery’ to shame, he cut off her eyelids, ears, nose and lips, then flushed them all down the toilet before calling the authorities himself. The woman was rushed to the hospital when they arrived.
Initially Huang refused to confess, but after a bit of questioning he finally blurted out: “I didn’t want to kill her, but if I can’t have her, then no one can!”
Doctors say the woman will need extensive plastic surgery and may not completely recover from her wounds. Huang had removed both her upper and lower eyelids, destroying her tear ducts and cut off all the cartilage from her nose.
