Public Outraged Over Doctor's Tweet Insulting Patient With Brain Cancer

A tweet was believed from a doctor in Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA), Johor Bahru went viral but for a wrong reason.

The tweet on Nov 8 read, ” You’ve had brain cancer for six to seven months but why did you have to be referred at 3-4am pig? Can’t wait until tomorrow? Six to seven months with cancer like that, but the creature is still breathing. Can’t you just be referred tomorrow? p*ki anjing ( vulgar word means Dog’s vigina).

The tweet soon received a lot of criticism, but the said doctor replied the tweet, saying himself just express his feelings in twitter and wrote” You all are not invited b**ches go off feed your hatred somewhere else a**holes. My speech does not represent anyone”.
Netizens were fumed over the rude statement on Twitter, mostly said he is unethical, unprofessional and some even ask him to resign as a doctor.

The said twitter account was then deleted after sparked backlash on social media.
HSA Director, Dr Mokhtar Pungut @ Ahmad said the hospital took the matter seriously. A special committee has been set up to investigate on the matter, stern action will be taken if the medical officer found guilty, he told Utusan Malaysia.

He ended the statement by saying, “On behalf of HSA, I’d like to apologise for the statement that was made by the medical officer which hurt the feelings of the community.”

She is stating a fact. The patient is better of dead as they are nothing but burdens on themselves, their families and their neighbours. With brain cancer admit to hospital and cause problems for hospital staff . Why cant the patient go to the hospice earlier and prepare to move on? Be with family say good bye etc? Instead of torturing everyone else along the way?
