In places like UK and Canada, they will arrest and charge you for telling the facts.

But anyway, many Singaporeans are like this: they are technically sound in their own area of work, but refuse to learn new things, lack initiative & leadership and demand a pay and benefits higher than what they deserve.

Many foreigners are the same but quite often they are not even technically sound or have shallow knowledge. Quite often Singaporeans have to clean up the mess they create.

Under normal circumstances it would be rather rude. However, in this case, the host went down on his knees and begged me to come to dinner to critique his cooking so I didn't pull my punches.

Singapore regularly broadcasts to the whole world that it lacks talent and begs foreign talent to help lift the game. It should be no surprise that it ends up with guests that are not very polite.
