A Japanese TV show has hired a porn star to host its travel programme in the nude.
This revamp caused ratings for Fuji TV's Let's Go to the Onsen More! to skyrocket.
China Buzz reported that the travel programme – which debuted as Go to the Onsen! in 2000 – aimed to promote hot springs in Japan.
The show was renamed as Let's Go to the New Onsen! in 2008, with a female host wearing nothing but a towel.
Ratings improved slightly with the show's renaming and sexy female host, so producers took a bold move to introduce a female host – a Japanese porn star – entirely in the nude.
Its latest renaming effort has seen the show rebranded as Let's Go to the Onsen More!.
inSing editors think that viewers will hardly take notice of the name changes as the highlight remains solely on the naked female host.
The programme shows the host removing her clothing one by one and then entering the hot springs naked.
Although it is aired late night, some viewers have complained about the show being "too erotic".
