Ramamohan Manikam, 44, a resident of Angsana Home, admitted to causing hurt to Dr Lim Huili, 25, at Changi General Hospital, on Dec 16 last year. He had gone to the hospital to seek medical treatment for his chest pain and swollen right shin due to his alcohol consumption the day before.
A dispute arose between him and the doctor as he was frustrated that he was not being warded as his condition was deemed to be not serious. Ramamohan has convictions for causing hurt to a public servant, burglary, theft, disorderly behaviour and mischief. He could have been jailed for up to two years and/or fined up to $5,000./
