With effect from 1st January 2019, security guards who display errant behaviour while on the job can face a fine of not more than S$2000 and/or a jail sentence of not more than 3 months.

There are no specific laws to govern the behaviours of MPs (many sleep at sittings), judges, CEOs. These people earn way too much and have more impact on us. And the opportunity for them to be miscreants are abundant.
PAP wallop the jagas but left those elites untouched. What lah?

Jaga should be paid at $10k a month, given this onerous responsibility imposed on them by law.

In a job, whe you have more responsibility, you should get higher pay.

KNN how come the law only states the must not but don't have the must KNN

If you read carefully, it says that "........ a licensed security officer must
(a) not sleep."

It does not say that "........... a licensed security officer must not
(a) sleep."

KNN this type of law is tailored for criminals and slaves and replaced with licensed security officer KNN

Of course Jagas are really important.

If not for an Indian Jaga...we would not have a Malay President today.
