There's been an uproar over the case of the young prc girl lying injured on the streets and the passers-by who ignored her have been vilified.
Reading the list of the 10 most recent outrageous cases in China may point to the real problem.
At number 1 is the "killer milk" case. At number 5 is a case of an old woman who sued a young man for supposedly injuring her when he tried to help her up after she fell. The "brilliant" judge ruled in favour of her, on the basis that only the person who caused her to fall would help her up.

The parents of the little girl were guilty of neglect and the passers-by were reprehensible.
But the biggest fuckers in this case and other cases like it are the old woman and the judge who ruled in her favour, and other people like them. It's because of conmen, opportunists and idiots that fear has now overcome kindness.

As I've argued ad nauseam, every single human act, behaviour and thought is motivated by self-interest. :)

i think some china pple are happy that this happen and so much media coverage, so that their country will improve bit by bit.

bro,
me think it isn't fear but rather a lack of chivalry.
these PRCs know what kind of tricks they themselves could churn up and probably mistaken that poor kid as a part of another syndicate.

Majority of people are retards. Still have to debate and think hard about saving a girl that is squish by two trucks. This won't happen in the west unless it was a drunk/bum who got stabbed. Why?

In this particular case, they probably don't think it's a con job.
What they are afraid of is that they go and help a dying girl on the street, they carry her to safety and she dies.
They then get sued or charged by unscrupulous parents, relatives, lawyers, officials, etc.
People who are well heeled may not worry about such things, but ordinary poor people would be concerned as they don't have the time or resources to fight such cases, even if they have not done anything wrong, in fact the opposite.

The PRCs got them into world's spot light with their shameless behavior. Now trying to dig out from the hole by saying it was due to conmen, lack of samaritan laws (protect unwittingly samaritans from being sued). One big fucko country living in denial. I thought mudlanders do that but I was wrong.

Incidentally, there was a radio programme here a few days ago where dial-in listeners were asked exactly what they would do under such a situation and a fair number of them gave the reason that it might backfire on them for not helping. And this is in Singapore. I also heard a case of a person being attacked by a small group of people in the US. And although there were many onlookers, nobody lifted a helping hand. The victim eventually died from his injuries.

Fook. If this is what you are saying. Then it is perfectly fine to quickly walk past as severely injured child due to "kiasee, kiaboh, kiasu, kiachenghu, kiaquee" then. Sheesh. People in the 21st century still living in denial.

There is a big difference between helping a 2 year old child bleeding on the road and helping a old woman who fall in the ground. Yes, we know PRC courts sucks, chinese law since civilisation sucks, but there is no excuse at all for not helping the young child.

You must be mad to interfere with groups fighting. There's nothing immoral about walking away or even running away. I'm not police or Bruce Lee.
