Italy investigating 'Jamaican sprinters, physio'

ROME (AFP) - Italian police have opened an investigation for doping against Jamaican sprinters Asafa Powell and Sherone Simpson as well as their Canadian physiotherapist Chris Xuereb, ANSA news agency reported on Tuesday.
The two, who tested positive for a banned stimulant, were training in northeast Italy but have left the country along with Xuereb after a raid by police on their hotel, according to local media reports.
