UK best selling vehicles. No Toyota in top 10.
But two china brands are there. Jaecoo and MG, owned by Shanghai auto corporation.

Why Uk? As it does it a locally owned car company any more. All sold off and owned by foreigners. It is as close to being a free market if not for some restrictions on china technological interests.

I still love my Toyota. I know with 99.99999% certainty that the car will start in the morning, take me where I want to go and then take me home again when the day is done and this is a car that has already done 200,000km.

Toyota is fighting a losing battle. The world is inexorably moving towards EV - either you're in or you die. I much prefer driving an ICE car, esp a manual transmission - they have so much more soul than EVs - but in Singapore their days are numbered. Sale of new ICE cars will be bannded from 2030 onwards.
