隨著春節假期畫下句點，不少人放了長假心卻收不回來，加上累積許多寒假作業，學生們臨時抱佛腳狂補作業，還不時發出哀嚎聲。不過，卻有小孩動了歪腦筋，擅自購買「寫字機器人」，幫忙抄寫語文作業，令家長感到頭痛且憤怒。
根據《哈爾濱日報》報導，中國大陸哈爾濱一名張女士透露，為了怕女兒在寒假期間過於懶散，因此特別規劃「寒假作業計畫」，不論是抄寫課文、作文、單字等，每天都必須要完成一部分的進度，避免開學前一天無止盡地狂補作業。不過，張女發現女兒僅花短短的2天時間就完成語文抄寫作業，且字跡工整，完全沒有錯字、沒有塗改的痕跡，當下認為女兒相當認真及積極，讓她感到相當欣慰。

孰料，某天張女心血來潮要幫女兒整理房間，正當她打掃到一半時，眼前卻驚見一台外觀寫著「寫字機器人」的包裝盒，意外引起張女的好奇心，並決定翻起說明書，「可以模仿各種字跡抄寫文字」，短短12個字讓張女恍然大悟，瞬間明白為何女兒可以搶先在計畫時間內趕完，甚至短短2天內就完成。隨後，張女氣呼呼地追問多次後，女兒才鬆口承認自己偷吃步，花800人民幣（約新台幣3700元）買了神器，此外，為了想趕快完成作業，還付上額外快遞費用。

仔細一看，這台寫字機器人外觀型是由2組金屬搭成的架子，起初張女看見露出不敢置信地表情，似乎不認為機器能夠完美呈現女兒的字跡，但實測機器之後，張女不得不相信眼前的畫面，當下大動肝火，氣得直接一手砸爛機器，不再讓女兒有機會使用。據報導，這台寫字機器人組裝簡單，只要上網下載軟體，讓機器人識別字跡和導入要書寫的文字，再於機器前放上一支筆，機器就能輕而易舉地模仿使用者的筆跡，速度約每分鐘40個字。
