I remembered preliminary data from UK indicating vaccine efficacy against Omicron will drop to a negligible level after 8 weeks, so it's not surprising that death toll is climbing up exponentially.
I suspect it's not that Israel death is very high, more like the other countries' health department collating those numbers are under immense pressure from their government to fudge the numbers as they have already sold the narrative to the masses that Omicron is harmless.
The Americans and Europeans keep emphasizing to their masses that Omicron death rate is lower than Delta which while factually true, is only half of the picture. Actual deaths is a factor of both death rate AND infection rate. Omicron's low death rate is more than made up by its infection potency, that's why countries are now seeing death toll that is higher than even what they previously experienced in Delta despite the lower "death rate".
