That is another half truth. Most of the blacks in arabia were there as slaves. Arabs are not welcoming of foreign immigrants, even if they were fellow moslems.

No mosque or islamic scholar has opposed slavery as an institution. Slavery in the islamic countries only ended after Western countries forcibly stopped moslems from slave trafficking by boarding moslem ships, freeing the slaves and even outright shooting moslem slave traffickers if they resisted freeing slaves.
