Will the election department disqualify him or close both eyes?

He did not lie. I'm assuming you are talking about his son NS obligation. Technically, his son did went through NS but from a very different route then almost everyone else.

Oh so sorry but is that cheating?

Worse than cheating, he used his good office to gain favours!

...And he closed an eye, or both eyes when actually he knew about it!

Its debatable, without a royal commission or strong opposition to raise this in Parliament I doubt anything will happen or be done with it. With 60% still in support of PAP, its most likely he is going to be the next president as well. So all in total, nothing changes and its business as usual.

Will this go into the guinness book of world record?

It is lying if the things he states are found to be be incorrect or wrong. One does not expect so serious a matter to be taken lightly and when his statement and the CV of his son do not match, then someone is lying. If not the father, then the son. But if the father in taking the son's CV as gospel truth, then he must stand by it.

But he is definitely not being a straight shooter. The responses of father and son do not address the issues raised by netizens. It is a classic repeat of his earlier statements to say that Singaporeans were against foreigners per se when the issue has been one of controlled immigration without straining our physical resources. That is prostitute press is repeating his lies is no excuse.
