LONDON (AP) — Manchester United's match at Fulham was halted just before half time after floodlight failure at Craven Cottage.
The lights went out in west London in the 42nd minute with the teams drawing 0-0 in the Premier League.
The referee led the teams back into the dressing room before the floodlights came back and the match was resumed around 10 minutes later.

NEW ORLEANS - A power outage at the Superdome has interrupted Super Bowl XLVII, with the 49ers trailing the Baltimore Ravens 28-6.
At about 7:37 p.m. local time and only about two minutes after halftime, the game paused and put on hold what could be the 49ers' first loss in six Super Bowl apperances.
The 49ers trailed 21-6 at halftime, and although they overcame a 17-point deficit to win the NFC Championship two weeks ago in Atlanta, that deficit grew quickly.
The 49ers suddenly trailed 28-3 when Jacoby Jones delivered a 109-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, the longest in NFL history.
On their ensuing series, Colin Kaepernick got sacked and the power subsequently went out, dimming the Superdome

and shutting off power in the media's downstairs work room. The 49ers have had some experience with power going out at Candlestick during a Monday night game this season.

Lights off now no payout liao........so got no benefits for bookies.

But if bookies are losing money on the bets, then better to switch off the lights and declare the results void. Bookies benefit because do not need to pay out.

</P>Europol said the joint investigation had also identified about 425 corrupt officials, players and serious criminals in 15 countries.

The 380 matches included fixtures from world and European cup qualifying games and top flight league matches in several European countries.

Speaking in The Hague on Monday, Europol director Rob Wainwright said the investigation uncovered "match-fixing activity on a scale we have not seen before".

"This is the work of a suspected organised crime syndicate based in Asia and operated with criminal networks around Europe," he said.

"It is clear to us this is the biggest-ever investigation into suspected match-fixing in Europe.

"It has yielded major results which we think have uncovered a big problem for the integrity of football in Europe. We have uncovered an extensive criminal network."

Wainwright said the investigation had uncovered €8 million in betting profits and €2 million in bribes to players and officials and had already led to several prosecutions.

Ho ho ho.. don't mind i post here to give myself 1K points. Could also be a false alarm. Cheers.

so players earning huge salary are still susceptible to illegal pay off. you can see some play acting in some of the matches.

Asian syndicates can never act alone. They need assistance from the mafia of the home country to assist in 'kelonging' soccer matches. Can be Italian, Croatia, Hungary, Bulgaria etc. Same goes for soccer matches in this region. Underworld involvement must be present. Many cases of 'black' eat 'black' too. The number 1 man in this kelong business is not a Singaporean.
