Typical Nazi propaganda. Erwin Rommel wasn't the hero that many painted him to be.

Ya, the US supported Chiang Kai Shek and pushed Mao Zi Tong to form an alliance with the USSR and China became communist. Now China and USSR are historical enemies because of a common border. The last thing they would do was to form alliance with each other. USA made this happened and China is now PRC and Taiwan. The same thing happened in Korea, a place very far from USA but just on the border of China. Of course China would have to support N Korea otherwise they would be facing a Korea supported by an unfriendly US just across its border. Today Korea is North and South with the North very isolated from the rest of the World. Again when the French could not defend its presence in Vietnam after what the Japs had done to them during WWII, the US stepped in again and supported the loyalists in the South who supported a French govt. This was a doomed struggle from the start as no way could the French defend such a colony so far away from home in a time when the French empire had already declined before the British bloomed and had already decided to give up its colonies. The rebels in the North fighting for independence led by Ho Chi Minh faced with a mighty US enemy had no choice but to find support from the Communist. I understand that Ho Chi Minh was a moderate man. If US had played it's card differently, left Vietnam alone and waited for the winner to emerge before giving him its support, Vietnam would not have turned communist and would have developed even ahead of Thailand. UK, on the other hand, was normally quite smart in dealing with its colonies by giving them independence and getting them to be a part of the British Commonwealth with one exception and that is Myanmar. Just because Burma used to fall under the administration of the Indian Governor (under British time), Britain wanted Burma to gain its independence under India and was stubborn about it. Obviously the Burmese would not agree and they fought and gained their independence. Subsequently they were isolated by the western world for 60 odd years. No wonder the military is so strong in Myanmar. On another note, although the Brits worship W Churchill as he had won them the War, to the ex-colonies, he was an anti-hero. If he had been the PM during that critical era in history none of us would have obtained independence as Churchill believed strongly in a British Empire. So yes, you can say that the US, Britain and the French were no different from the Nazi.

Chiang Kai-shek himself was a facist and nazi. More facist than Mussolini and more nazi than Hitler. There's only three things he didn't believe in was democracy, election and communism.

you're probably right but still Chiang was a badly misunderstood man. too much lies, half-truths and distortions were written about him from the Communists for decades.

Chiang did believe in democracy but China was not ready during his time. During 1946-1948, Chiang promulgated a new democratic constitution, restored the National Assembly, elected in 1947 from KMT, other parties and independents. He already started creating the framework for the political reform processes which was ended by the 1949 Communists victory.

the period of long political tutelage under Chiang and his son did culminate in the transition to democracy in Taiwan, not China sadly.

whatever Nazis crimes against the Jews and Europe, the Germans were friends of the Chinese back then. The German govt helped to develop and modernize China in the 1930s, resulting in the relatively success of the Nanking decade. During the war of resistance against Japan, Germany was the first country to provide any financial aid ( 150 millions German marks ) to the Chinese government, 50 millions in barter and 100 millions was written off before 1941. The Chinese German military advisers headed by Alexander von Falkenhausen devised China war of attrition strategy against Japan which eventually proved to be the right choice.

They also developed the beer industry for China - leaving their breweries behind, including the one in Tsingtao in Central China.

Do not be stupid. The Chinks and Jap Chimps saved more Jews during WWII than the Roman Pope. They are only beaten by the Yanks who liberated more Jews from the Nazis.
