SINGAPORE - A woman's taxi ride turned into a nightmare after she got into an argument with the cabby and disembarked with a swollen forehead and a bruised eye.

Citizen journalism website Stomp reported that the cabby had apparently injured the passenger after throwing a bag of coins at her.

The passenger wrote to Stomp, claiming that the cabby had turned violent and yelled at her after she accidentally dropped some coins while making payment to him.

Upset, the Premier Taxi cabby got out and started hurling vulgarities at her.

As tried to enter the lobby of her apartment block, the cabby threw a few coins at her, hitting her torso.

He then swung a plastic bag full of coins at her - this time, hitting her in the head and resulting in some swelling in her forehead and left eye.

It is not known exactly how the argument arose.
