yes..good home environment is very important.
but what replaces CME in SG schools?
the schools are too busy with other "more important " things....i think somewhere along the line, we have lost our direction....and our young are at the mercy of what they read in the social media....
i think all singaporeans should enter the monastery for at least three months to learn about the religious life and the precepts.....

You can bet that more and more girls will learn to be expert swallowers, as it is easier to learn the bad than the good.

it is so sad that SG schools dont partner parents to help SG students.
i agree. the intention to inculcate moral values in schools was there.but somehow somewhere along the line, it was stopped...for a good reason. so i believe parents have to do the job now.
not easy in a multi-religious, multi-cultural and multi-racial setup like we have...it will take a very long time before we really settle down.....

some schools do invite parents with special knowledge to conduct classes and workshops...
Parents and teachers can do much. But teachers themselves can lose motivation if society itself is rotting.
this is ridiculous.
there is no central agency in SG's education system to coordinate moral education?
My suggestion:
PMO.
Ministar in charge - Lim Swee Say
there is a good reason to stop moral education in SG schools?
Of course. That is more important.that's true... but teaching moral education is as important as teaching English or Science
this is ridiculous.

LSS is a useless guy
Of course. That is more important.
i believe those brothers with special info on this can enlighten us. i think if moral education is not generally " accepted" by parents from different racial and religious backgroud, it's better not to continue. it's detrimental to the society. it might just fragment the country....but i remember very vividly that i did study religions in my school days with no protest at all from my parents....maybe some values are taught in the curriculum which upset some parents....
