maybe they are capitalising on this to delude the masses as to this lottery....in the end every month they just makan the money without actually declaring that there is a winner or not... at least lucky draw come out with some truncated ic numbers.....

It is called a form of wealth distribution aka devious voluntary taxation scam method not too dissimilar from CHC except CHC toto win is in God credits.
Simple system - pool of money 30% says get taxed away by the collector (rate that they are allow to keep) who kenna taxed by IRAS another 25-30%. Remaining pool 70% is left to probability to distributed back to the contributors. Expected value is likely less than what you put in. For one armed bandit, easier to visualize. They are run by software today where machines have fixed payout rates. At least last time can bang machine or use magnets, but do not get caught. Some machines may pay shitloads more but it does not matter as all the machines together will rake in 30% of contributions more or less.

Is there such a prize for big sweep? I thought the smallest prize is the $30 for the last 3 numbers.

Do you notice that the tickets you bought does not appear in the top prizes (the numbers are in series) and only appear in the lower range of prize payouts, if at all? it's due to the fact that the un-sold tickets are returned before the draw and a no brainer to have the numbers of these un-sold tics appear in the winning numbers

That's my suspicion ....

That they have conveniently chosen the returned tickets numbers for their picks of the winning tickets so that they can continue this scam....

my "Godfather" struck the Big Sweeps in the late eighties or early nineties when the top prize was a million. he distributed the money amongst his family after clearing all debts, squandered the rest on numerous trips to Thailand. the rest of the family not very savvy in investments, much of the wealth was cleared out by the turn of the millennium and they still live as simple folks today, practically debt free, but still working to keep themselves busy.

This was many years ago, I missed the first prize twice, once I bought a ticket, missed by 1 number, the other, the man selling 4D sold the last 6 tickets to 6 of us. One of my colleague struck first prize, unfortunately he was a gambler, the money cleared his debts & three months he was broke again. Luckily there wasn't casino at that time, if not, he would have gone broke instantly.

This answer your question? yes!, but I missed! even I did strike, I would keep quiet, you know the saying "tiok diam diam"....only when you don't, everybody gets to know..
