Is Perth worth a visit?

Australia is good for smokers cos service apartment are in abundance and most can smoke...depends on what you going to perth for nature or shopping if shopping then not so worth but bigw and kmart sells cheap and mostly affordable stuff compared to sg...I personally would rather start with Darwin if can get below 500 on silkair but perths good too just remember theres nothing much to do in the city centre (quite a walk to the casino as well) so choose a better place to stay

Heard cigarettes cost $35 a pack don’t know how true.

I want to watch whales in Darwin. Possible ? This is one of my childhood dreams - to watch whales from close range. Next is to watch a Premier League match either at Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge.

Bro, this is a lot of information. Thank you so much!

you're welcome!

btw, from your replies, you mentioned shopping. Oz as a general rule shuts down at 5pm sharp. City centre becomes like a ghost town with the exception of restaurants and bars with the exception of 1 night a week where they have late night shopping until 9 or 8pm I forget. So it's really boring when it comes to down to big city/malls. For that kinda stuff, Asia is still the best. Angmoh countries cannot compare.

But! If you want something specific to Oz, it might be worth it. Anyway good luck on your trip and if you need more info just ask.

Still have things to shop la...most cities have a duty free shopping shop...also as I mentioned Kmart and bigw for cheap clothes (cheap as in still can get good quality t shirts for 10 bucks), target is ok, woolworths and coles for groceries stuff (milk powder same brand in sg made in oz cos 30% less)

I have zeroed in on Hay Street and Murray Street where Perth Underground is located. There seems to be plenty of shopping malls and eating places around. And CAT buses are aplenty!

Just to add as Perth is one of my favourite cities to chill... you will definitely need a car. Take a drive down Margaret River and go on a wine tasting swing. You won't regret it.

if you are health consious, drop by chemist warehse to get vitamins, take advantage of the cheap oz dollar.

Perth's so laid back, that locals even joke that reply to your good morning comes back only tomorrow

It's accessible by 4.5-5hrs flight, with same time zone here. Nightsafari's right, quite sleepy place. There's only the Hay Street Mall (daytime), and for dinner can try restaurants at Northbridge area.

Good to hire a car, and drive out to Margaret River (vineyards, country). And venture south to Albany, and Cape Leeuwin (where 2 Indian and South Oceans meet). If you brave enough go up to Monkey Mia beach (with dolphins).

I just found out Singaporeans need a Visa to visit Australia. And I have to pay AUD$20 per pax if apply online. KNN.

Does that mean apply at Australian High Commission is free ?

Margaret River is more than 200 km away from Perth City. No way man !

Anything worth buying from Perth ? Other than Kangaroos and Kolar bears.
