somewhere i read our current population is about 5.5M. out of these, only 2.25 are singaporeans. the rest are PRs or new singaporeans.

is this true?

if it is, that means the pap do not need sgporeans' votes. they backup of 3M + have already win the battle for them. some what look like doing an AWARE illeegal takeover :(

PR cannot vote lar. But 2.25m sounds about right. We were 3m about 10 years or so back. Child birthing per couple were on a constant decline. New citizens should be around 1+m, assuming 100k a year

pinky gives generously and bestows the PRs with sg citizenship which cums with voting rights.

i ve a few hongkies who are now sgporeans and they ve voting rights. they told me that the pap always "intimidate" them to vote pap. their hinting is as good as a "warning" to them.

Actually, I 've heard from a few PRs who became citizens that they are not happy with more and more foreigners coming in. Isn't that ironic? But, that's their take. They are now citizens, and they feel that too many foreigners will not bode well for them or their children. White trash are dumb to think that all PRs and new citizens will really vote for them. Let them continue to dream in their ivory towers. The cracks are there for all to see, and no one will really tell them the real thing, as it will be on deaf ears.

rich Sinkies or higly-paid civil servants vote PAP still understandable............balls-less to vote out PAP is unforgivable......

PRs are allowed to vote in NZ. I'm sure Singapore will change the law to follow suit soon.
