MHI stands for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. It's no Starmex which comes under Mitsubishi Electric.

You can Japanese durability in both cases.

Panasonic is made in Malaysia.

MHI blower roller fan is difficult to dismantle. You have to remove the evaporator coil to reach the BRF. I will be held to a ransom by JHK technicians.

Yep. Starmex can service yourself. I service Starmex myself.

MHI I bought from gain city in 2014 until today still operating normally, you just need to find a experienced technician who knows how to dismantle the blower, gain city a lot of experienced techs resign go other companies or freelance on their own. Tried newway once they also don't know how to remove MHI blower, my technician is resign from gain city do freelance he know how to remove MHI blower

Panasonic wins hands down as its O2 ionizer help to reduce dust accumulation-> no much maintenance required for my previous aircon for 7yr

backside itchy, switch to Mitsubishi aircon in 2022 and found out these MIT aircon need constant cleaning just like Ah Jack say can 刷刷这里,刷刷那里every half yearly

A lot Bayi Aircon Techie now working in SG, specializing in MIT aircon servicing , asking me to sign on their annual $240 cleaning package…

So I assume 7 yr ownership, I will need to spend $1500 to clean the stupid aircon

Your Panasonic lasted only 7 years?

You changed to MHI or Starmex?

The thing that bothers me is technicians these days don't repair; they just want to clean your aircon and earn easy money. When a major problem arises where their skills are put to test, they tell you no spare parts, change to Starmex.

I know every technician loves Starmex. But my job is not to make work easy for technicians.

I used to drive continental cars, and whenever repair issues came up the fucking mechanics would always persuade me to change to Japanese cars.
