Did you think that the public image towards the SDP as somewhat as change say in the past few years?


If you talk about online, maybe. But in general society, it’s still a long way to go. You know, given the fact that your traditional media is still very much in the hands of the PAP. And a lot of people are still afraid to come on the SDP website. I heard it many times when I go on house to house and they tell us. I don’t know why, or whether it is really true – that they can trace your IP address or whatever. But the fact is that they’re still very afraid. It will take time for us to get them to get on the website and overcome that fear. The elections would be a good platform where you may not be able to offset change on the political scenario, but the elections itself is a very good avenue also to educate the people as well.

people afraid to come on the SDP website?? what's he talking about? admitting they are another pap?

why people don't like to was simply because it only shows prejudiced views and not an overall and justified views from both sides of the coin.

just read the comments alone shall tell what the kind of website it really is. another thing, if anyone dare post nasty but honest criticisms about the article, they would be targeted or have their opinions deleted.

the reason why they need u to state your particulars so that they can send their ninjas to stalk, spam and attack u persistently.

You’re no stranger to the fact that people are criticizing you or SDP very harshly online. But when you go for your walkabouts, do you actually have this kind of reaction?


No. You know, people seem very cordial and I’m thinking, “Why is that?” No, a lot of times I think Singaporeans tend to – if it’s anonymous- they are just a little bit more chatty, more forthcoming with their views. They may whisper behind your back but they- I’ve never had anybody being openly hostile.

the comments usually tell more truth than the sdp's articles. for one thing, most of their articles are quite anonymous. why? those flattered comments are usually from their own sdp members to give an impression that their articles are well supported. do u see crticisms? maybe from bryanT but then again look at the attacks poor honest bryanT is receiving.

who do u think are behind all those attacks?

next look at who would attack this thread instead of bravely and honestly explain. perhaps those attackers are just sicko who are too obssessed with what nonsense about sdp and has never come to their own prudent sense.

those are the kind of imbeciles sdp is delighting to have and boast about their so called supports. now that's pretty sad and sdp shall remain the official troublemaker in the political arena until the day it closes.

but hey! they already got 2 subs standing by. and so the nonsense shall continue until the day they successfully ruin all the goods that every singaporeans strive so hard to build and preserve.

Well maybe not openly, but in private discussions with friends – at least those who do not follow local politics as closely - few have good things to say about you.


You live in a very enclosed society. By closed, I mean there is no- in particular the media – it’s very much in control. If you don’t read history, you’ll get very, very disappointed. As I said if we look through the years, there’re cases of people becoming stronger. You always have to start off people not knowing what you do. And people who advocate change are the ones who always get the eye of those who are afraid to change things – even if they see change is necessary, they will resist it until the very last moment. And they’ll always target people who advocate change.

So in that sense, I’m not surprised. All you just need to continue to do is to continue to explain to them. Be patient; just continue to explain to them. And I’m very confident. I’m very confident one day they will come to see what I’m trying to do and up until this point, I can tell you, they really don’t know what is it that we’re trying to do on the side. But that is not something that is something immutable. Sooner or later it’ll change.

does any of SDPpies done that? explaining? forget about patiently. explaining? chee is really one Ah Q living in his own warped mentality! does he abdicate his sdppies to PATIENTLY EXPLAIN be it to the forummers or anyone whom they think has misunderstood them?

NEVER!! they only take the attack mode cos they cannot tolerate any criticisms whether it's constructive, honest or well-meant. pap has slowly open up but the SDP has remain tight anal-retentive.

Okay, I’ve come across comments which say SDP Chee is a hindrance to the Singapore Democratic Party – what do you feel about something like that?


That’s an opinion that, that, that somebody has expressed. I suppose people always have their opinions you know, no one’s stopping them.

maybe chee isn't stopping them but he didn't say he won't send his minions to do all the dirty works or his imbeciles would continue to do all those dirty works voluntarily.

how then can SDP which preach on FREE SPEECHES, HUMAN RIGHTS & DEMOCRAPSY progress when their practices reveal the reversi?

I think the context of the comments is in the light of the new people that the SDP has attracted. And they are contrasting the credibility of these new people with your track record as the confrontational maverick. And they are saying that so the image of SDP will be better if you weren’t in the picture.


Well I honestly feel that sometimes you talk to some of these people when they come on board of late and this is what I said during our rally, I said it wasn’t that they have been there for years already. They joined us in the last six months – at least a few of them, and some of them a little earlier too. If you ask them: What attracted them to SDP? We didn’t have anything to offer in terms of riches, we can’t even pay a salary. And we’ve got fines to pay. So the question is: Why did they come into SDP?


Those people who have come on board of late, they have been following; they get on the net, they read what we’re about, and based on that they want to be part of the party.

that's how USD & SF are created. that's how those dubious infamous people can so proudly rant "they are partyless and probably pantyless".

why they are doing so is simply becos chee's fantastic mindgame to give an impression how important the partyless n pantyless are vital to SDP. but are they really an asset?

they are in fact LIABILITIES cos any singaporeans could see that creating more opp parties directly linked to SDP isn't going to work well with the voters.

IF ONE'S REALLY GOOD, HONEST & DECENT - ALL HE NEEDS TO DO IS TO STAND UP HIGH ALONE.

SDP is taking the voters as a fool and like their imbecile supporters.

There’re these other comments as well: “We respect what Dr Chee does but he shouldn’t have badmouthed Singapore to the foreign press.”


Let’s be very clear about this – you’re never able going to effect any change if there was also not at the same time international pressure. Look at any country in recent history whether it’s Taiwan, whether it’s Korea, Indonesia, you look at Central Europe, before the party in South Africa, there was not only pressure from within, but also pressure from the international community. That is a given.

So when people ask you, “What do you want to do with Singapore?” and you tell them – I’m talking about let’s say for example the foreign press- are you going to lie and say everything is hunky-dory? Even Aung San Suu Kyi for example – we were there at the conference – she was telling us, “Use your liberty to help others.” Is Aung San Suu Kyi badmouthing her country to the others?

this one tells the whole truth about chee and his real motive for singapore. he has never said anything good about singapore. he badmouthed the gov to foreign media and delighted in doing so.

only a traitor does that and hope to see the ruin of the country he hypocriticaly claimed that he "cares and concerns" about. the only thing he's concerned about is to get even with the sgp gov, the leegime and hopefully destroy singapore which didn't give him a damn during the past GEs.

who cares about that flower sticking hair aung san? if she were to run the country, burma could be worst! look at IRAQ after saddam.

chee's always creating news to the foreign media to give an impression that he's some kind of "hero" who no singaporeans give a damn about. but to the foreigners, they were thoroughly conned! didn't they brand chee as the "leader of the opposition parties"? what a joke! but chee loves that kind of media attention even though he knows that it was just a BIG CON.

if u dunno the answer, just refer to surrounding countries with all their miseries and turmoil facing daily?

maybe many shall realise how fragile and precious what singapore has being doing all these years to achieve the present blissful state.

1. Singapore can be worse off without CSJ. Who else can provide public entertainment like him? But serious opposition can be better off.

2. There's no Singapore without PAP and there won't be, let's face it for the current moment. But it's not politically healthy to have political hegemony. Vote some of the better opposition candidates to begin with first. Then there's a chance in the near future, that they grow in numbers and mature into a force that can be safely trusted as an alternative government.

TOC is just too restrained and courteous to ask chee for more TRUE questions in return for more LIES answers.

EG: where do u get your livelihood from? since u know your public antic shall land u in fines and jail if u cannot pay, why do u still do it and even unbashfully pleading for donation? why using your wife's saving accounts?

there are many more questions but TOC is simply too restrained. if they dare not ask, then perhaps they shouldn't have interviewed chee. such interviews only further aggravates and confirms chee's character.
