Announcement
15 Dec 2025.
Yesterday, one of my supporters informed me that my book, The Silent Roar: A COVID Awakening in the Lion City, is now listed with the National Library Board (NLB).

I am deeply grateful — and genuinely excited.

Thank you to the good people at NLB who believe in providing the public with access to diverse perspectives, including voices that may not always sit within the mainstream narrative. This reflects trust in the public’s ability to read, reflect, and think independently.

As more information about the pandemic, COVID-19, and COVID vaccines continues to surface worldwide, many people are still trying to make sense of what happened.

It is my sincere hope that what we experienced during those years will never happen again in Singapore — that alternative voices will not be silenced, and that scientific rigour, open inquiry, and honest debate will always be protected.

This listing is, to me, a quiet but meaningful sign that we as a nation can engage with different narratives, even when they are uncomfortable.

It shows confidence — in our people, our institutions, and our future.

I remain hopeful for Singapore.

As long as we have the courage to self-reflect with honesty and compassion, there is always a way forward — even in difficult times.
❤️
I also want to thank my supporters and the community at Healing the Divide.

This book would not have been possible without your financial support, encouragement, prayers, and belief in conscience-led dialogue.

This milestone has encouraged me to continue writing — to document our struggles during the pandemic, and to leave behind for the next generation a reminder of why conscience and courage matter, and why unexamined groupthink has been the downfall of many civilizations — something Singapore simply cannot afford.

You mean totally written by AI? I don't think so. Only dumbfucks do that. Getting help from AI to gather data fast and with her creative input to form this book is more likely.
Only dumfucks willingly commit crime to tell people to jam MOH hotlines and emergency lines and endanger innocent lives

By definition, a roar is not silent. Either you roar (to draw attention) or you keep silent (to stay quiet). So what does the book title even mean? What's the book about?

The formation of this title comes from creative expression. Iris is an artistic person. You can't understand if you use ur head to see it rather than ur heart.
