yes my iphone 4S also quite tough dropped countless times without major injuries......also like you i got a ton of problems with the new ios6....i think its a conspiracy to push all the iphone users to change to iphone5

I suspect the aerodynamics of the S3 also does that as well. The curve surface behind with a flat front might have introduced this. The Bernoulli's principle might have been at work here, hence the screen falls down first. While the iphone, being more boxy, might have landed at its edge. This makes me wonder if that is why they changed the design of the iphone to this, considering that the first few version of the iphone was similar in design to the current S3.
