I have a wifi only iPad mini(free gift) and an extra SIM card given by M1 when I signed up for their home broadband. Is it possible to buy an external free that can read my SIM card via the iPad mini charging port???

The best cheapest way is insert the sim card to phone and use phone tethering function.
