Interesting Cameras

Bring back the old memory. Have to manual shift flim and after finnish rewind back.
Many young generation dont even know what is fully manual camera.
 
Well, in fact I used it.

My dad bought in in the late 60s and he was very proud of the camera and it's brand...just like the Hero brand from China.

Well I could be one of those Ah Tiong who has a BSc First class honours and a MSc from Imperial College. But this Ah Tiong is smart enough to emigrate to Canada in 1991.

For me I inherited this from my dad..

The company is insolvent but I think the brand's still alive.

The manufacturing plant in Chai Chee closed many years ago. For a long while though, people swore by their products. I was in the UK in the 90s when I met a fellow traveller (a European). When he found out I was from Singapore, he dug into his bag and fished out an old-fashioned looking camera.

'This camera is made in Singapore! Best camera I ever had.'

It was of course a Rollei.

Wah, this one the company collasped long time.
The factory in Kg. Chai Chee, right?
