Insanity has simple definition, e.g. doing the same thing and expecting different results.

In Peasantpore, there are similar example, for example, stupid local peasants voting in the same rulers and expecting better livelihood!

In Peasantpore, life is hard, an average peasant takes home 3000 peanuts and is saddled with 500,000 peanut housing debt for 22 years. Housing Mafia and banks are happy because they make tons of $$$ via the simple concept of compound interest.

An average peasant finds it hard to get pay raises because his boss will be happier to sack him for cheaper and hardy foreign talents. The regime love the tax dollars that FT bring in when they spend money on goods and services. Levies and stamp duties bloat state coffers and make merchant happy!

FTs make merchants happy when they consume their goods and services. MOE is happy for once the problem of empty schools is solved by FT's and PR's children before the stupid local peasants realised the con job over generous state benefits for PRs.

What are citizens going to do about it . Nothing again .

Most too stupid to access internet .

Yeap. Most too stupid. But in 2020 and beyond most voter are smarter that is when opposition might get a chance.

Opposition are a bunch good at fighting amongst themselves as witness on this forum.

The Japs finally got tired of the inept LDP, a crony party that serve big business and has little retail politics to show for after the 1990 meltdown!

This probably troubled Young Autocrat who realised the impact for his Imperial Clan since Peasantpore is a pale shadow of Nippon. For example, in the old LDP days, high ranking civil servants usually retire into a cushy job at private sector and will exert their influence to get things done against the interest of the people.

In Peasantpore, this is the same twist, minions and lackeys retired and take up cushy jobs at nationalised corporations where they form a bulwark against any attempts to dismantle the system of propping up the Imperial Clan. In Nippon, this practice is called 'Amakudari' and it is extensively documented.

Woe woe woe, peasantpore, a nation, a sham republic, riddled with dynastic politics and succession, where only the interests of the Imperial Clan matters....
