The alternative party to check and balance aka electorial democracy process has already been proven to be ineffectual and flawed. Just look at EU and USA since 2015.

I admire the "people power" in Indonesia. The insecure PAP would never allow S'poreans to make our feelings known like this; they would have mobilised the SAF and SPF to put down the protest "Tiananmen Square" style, even if it is peaceful.
