This site logs from the general public (and less than 17% have smartphone to log, so you can imagine the actual numbers). This started not too long ago and numbers are growing and if you look at the people that seems to do the crimes are people in power: Police, professors, metro workers etc.

Also if you look at the reports, the women in India feel threatened wherever they go with all the drunken catcalls, random grabbing and the like.

Sadly, India has a long way to go in terms of treating women like people. Even most of the educated professors are in it!!

There are things that are much worse than the Women's Charter in Singapore.

In some countries, you have to pay 'alimony' to a woman who only cohabited with you.
