Last Friday when I was in CGH waiting for my turn, an Indian (from India) couple went in straight to the counter and shamelessly said, 'Hi, I am a physiotherapist, I am looking for a job with the hospital'. Almost everybody raised their eye-brows because Singaporeans dont go around like that looking for a job. Its not Singapore style and the HRs in Sg dont work that way.
Nevertheless, she was directed to the HR dept. I wanted to stop her and ask why she didnt send a resume but I presumed she had done that but no reply. I understand that during this period, giving a job anyhow to a foreigner is a risky stunt to do. So this indial lady may be so desperate to get a job before the GE is held.
