India - Why does a country with so much research talent produce little homegrown innovation?

Cos they are lying. You dunno meh? Indians best at talking. Woe to those who believe their words. Innovation my foot. What tech companies do they have?

India built smart phones? Computers? You dont even see top India gamers!

Well, India has/had a few homegrown smartphone companies: Micromax, Lava, Karbonn etc.

Until Chinese companies such as Vivo, Xiaomi, Oppo etc started aggressively selling their cheap phones to the cheapskate Indians.

Take a walk in Little India. There are quite a few Indian handphone shops, Either some loudmouth promoter with a microphone will be shouting about special promotions, or there is a pre-recorded voice message being played.

Those cheap Chinese phones are a HIT with the Indians and the Banglas. Or they get a cheap Samsung Galaxy J-series phone.

No one cares about Micromax and the other Indian brands.

it’s very easy to “invent” a phone. baseband lte and wi-fi chipsets are cheap and available. arm microprocessors and memory chips are readily available. touch screens and batteries are easily oem’ed. the only difficult part is the os integration, but with the android ecosystem it’s easily done. at the end of it if it’s an android phone it’s still shit.

RACE and IQ. How can you compare a graduate from IIT and from Seoul University. Or a Malaysian Graduate with Tokyo Uni graduate. If you have useless graduates and when they cannot perform, you ask yourself what went wrong? To begin with, low intelligent base will not create good scientist. Keep comforting yourself that you had so many graduates. But the sad truth is these graduates are only technical school equivalent compared to developed countries.

Hinduism is cool. Go to Waterloo Street, Hindu and Buddhist temple side by side, many folks pray at both temples.

Islam, on the other hand is fucked. Same Abrahamic bullshit, but plagiarized by a pedophile slave-trading caravan bandit warlord for political purposes.
Hindus used to burn their widows alive in dead husband funeral pyre.
Islam, or arabs expanded their territory before the onset of the religion of islam.
The arabs then created a religion, islam, and tgat was their downfall. Persians and arabs were in canton way back in 800's before they were butchered by chinese in 760 AD and 878 AD. Twice. Who do you think taught chinese navigation and shipbuilding skills?

Ah neh can achieved individual success (through bullshit and ang moh believe in it) but never collective progress. Other than bureaucracy, there is no impetus to innovate and become self reliant when you can get virtually everything off the shelves.

You cannot be a progressive and innovative country if its bogged down by buearaucracy. To many rules and regulation. It hinders creativity.

IQ and RACE ... in a RACE there are some smart people .... It is the averages that count. Having a few good CEOs does not mean anything. They are slaves to White Masters. There are smart people among low IQ countries but there is no develop country among low IQ Countries.
