Please read the original photo for the Malay film name that they wrongly stated to be the first local movie. It’s not my concern what google translate picked up to be the name of the Malay film but my concern that Hokkien TOP pioneer filmmaker’s FIRST LOCAL MOVIE has been denied by them in their book then.

Basically the husband and wife team authors have in their first book on Singapore films denied the existence of Hokkien TOP pioneer filmmaker’s FIRST LOCAL MOVIE due to their omission of facts in their research and wrong understanding and translation of Chinese words to conclude the movie was scrapped when it’s not.
