Would you have live your life differently?

I would. Many of my friends took their chance at the Holiday Makers Scheme offered by UK and went to see the world. The scheme has since been discontinued. For 2 years, they worked in the UK, travelled extensively to Europe and immense themselves with the local culture. Some stayed on permanently, some returned, but no one regreted their choice.
We live our live once. Some are contented with a normal job, a normal family, a nice HDB flat, a car, nice holidays every year. But are they truly happy?

I should have abandoned Delphi 10 years ago instead of waiting till 2008.

You mean turn back time and live life with knowledge of the future?
Then memorise all the winning toto numbers and draw dates first then talk.

Turn back time without knowing the future. Or should I say, choose another direction in your life.

Hindsight is always something easier to accept or acknowledge that something else is "better". We tend to forget all the good that has happened but dwell on "what could have". Even if we turned back time and changed direction, how do we know that we would have gone on to a "better" direction? It may seem "better" now for that point in time but we would not know what direction it takes us beyond that point.....its better to work on getting our "foresight" more accurate...

I'm not trying to pick an argument here with anyone, this is just what I think.......

Turning back time. This song keeps playing in my head.

I fully agree with what you said brother :)
Sometimes, we tend to see what could have been better instead of what could have been worse.
Thanks for your contribution. :D

i agree bro.

though there are things i would've like to have done it better/ in an different approach, i've learnt from those.

i've met, learnt from many 'teachers' in the past ten years. These are valuable, i'll never have enough time to go through what they've gone through.

i've also met some of my closest buddies almost 2x 10years ago. This is something i'll never trade for anything.

If I could turn back the time, I should have meet up and explain things to this gal for the last time before goin away for a 8 mth offshore job project bak then.. She thought I purposely ditched her after bedding her..:( I'm sure by now she would have thrown away all my letters and Christmas cards ..:o :o

There wouldn't be a need to turn back time if one were to make better predictions of the future in his every decision. Rationality is the bulwark against regret. :)

Actually the point is not what could have been better than what you could have been experiencing.

That is more important. Do you want to lie at your deathbed and regret what you could have done?

This is why you ask this question in the first place.:-)

i wont. There have been ups and downs but very good on the whole. I am happy where i am.
