just any o how think---if HDB can rent wet-market stalls to peasants, why sell them to Sheng Siong to rent out again?

you sell to sheng siong, donch think Ah sheng is very rich, the chinese new year show was a show only....still have to borrow money from bank, pay interest, pay maintenance, and many things.....so how, cannot convert to supermarkets, of course still have to rent.

Don't miss the forest for the trees. There's no need to convert to supermarket to make money. Sheng Siong can raise rentals until all stallholders got squeezed out. Then employ cheap FTs to run the stalls. Sheng Siong is in business to sell food produce, whether through supermarket or wet market. With the wet markets, even better, they can cater to both groups of marketing preferences and habits.

Please la, before you guys argue further, IT IS NOT HDB who sold the wet markets to Sheng Siong. It is Heeton Developement, a pte company.

Sheng Siong DID NOT buy from HDB with conditions to convert.

For conversion of USE, MND and HDB must have input.
