If Li Lian can win 54%, do you think Nicole Seah can win more percent?

like any by election around the world,

the citizen of singapore will never let opposition gain power, therefore in general election, they will vote pap, in by election, they will want to give pap a bloody nose, and vote opposition knowing for certainty that opposition will never gain power, they are then comfortable to vote opposition.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a consolidation of some of the opposition parties because currently, as they stand, they will make zero difference to the political landscape in 2016.

If WP continues to play the dead opossum, some people will know and they will reject them. But the rest will continue to vote for them just like the 60% that voted for the PAP.

You will not see Nicole Seah elected unless she joins WP.

The interesting point here is whether she is someone WP would even consider. Given the strict discipline in WP, I do not think that someone like NS, who has a mind of her own and is not short in voicing her opinions, would be welcome with opened arms by WP.

This I agree completely. The guy is extremely immature. That said, I would argue that NS only has an appeal among a certain segment of voters. She and her team in Marine Parade appeared to do well only because her opposite number TPL was highly unpopular.

NS is popular cause of her looks. She has no policy; all her policies are adopted from NSP.

i think voter vote due to wp brand
I suspected wp would have won also if they sent out a Bus Driver
That why i am a bit worried come 2016

It is unlikely WP will sent out a Bus Driver.

The recent WP rally has profiled 4 new faces. 2 Lawyers, 1 Engineer and 1 NUS Lecturer.

Go and check out that A/Prof Daniel Goh. He is good.

Nothing to worry about come 2016. Just continue to vote for the Opposition.

That guy still needs to improve.

Her missing front tooth, her N level are some imperfections some folks can associate & connect with. .

This missing tooth is so symbolic of a very down to earth, heartlander signature. I like.:p

No need to discuss such frivolous topic.
Dun lose focus....PE voters led the way....just do your part and give your vote to opposition.

I think Nicole should contest in Potong Pasir if that SMC still exist in the next election.

NS is popular because of her fiery rally speech not just because of her looks. I attended her rally in 2011. She is also very very (double emphasis) media savvy.

A person's looks will fade. I know of many people who would not vote for this lady. They may be opposition supporters but if given a choice they rather vote PAP than her.

That pretty much sums up why there can never be unity in opposition, because it's just impossible.

Sad. PAP will continue to upz our butts.

Nicole Seah will be an asset in any party she chooses to join. You can see the fire in her speeches and the maturity of her political thoughts. A rare find indeed.
