If Lee Kuan Yew were the Chief Executive (CE) of Hong Kong, would he unite the people?

If Lee Kuan Yew were the Chief Executive (CE) can he unite Hong Kong?

I.e. do his socialist magic like he did in 1957 onwards to confiscate land from Farmers and rich land owners for a song to build HDB (also sold to citizens for a song) http://eresources.nlb.gov.sg/history/events/1f669eff-bc82-49d1-a27c-2624e4cab8c6 and give Hong Kongers hope by providing genuine social mobility, where every working adult can have access to affordable housing be it leasehold 99 years or just 1 year public rentals etc?

Or will LKY just humji and be a sock puppet, mouth piece of the rich tycoons in Hong Kong or worse, the CCP of China?

I was reading:
Mass protests may become the new normal for Hong Kong
Ker Sin Tze For The Straits Times
PUBLISHED: JUL 4, 2019, 5:00 AM SGT
Hong Kong youth unhappy with life in the city may turn more to street action. The only thing that can stop them will be a Hong Kong government that meets their need for secure housing and well-paying jobs
The protest marches which started last month in Hong Kong culminated in episodes of ugly violence at the Legislative Council (LegCo) Complex on Monday.

As 30,000 protesters surrounded the LegCo building, hundreds stormed inside by breaking glass panels and damaging the building's steel shutters. Once they entered the LegCo chamber, the protesters vandalised and destroyed equipment, portraits and documents. They also painted graffiti all over the walls. It was the worst violence seen in Hong Kong in recent years.

=====================
Looks like Hong Kong will be a long drawn and inherently difficult process and maybe even the trigger for WW3 if super powers don't handle the situation carefully since a failed HKG will result in greater Taiwanese and Xinjiang region aversion to China because it shows that communism/ dictatorship cannot improve the lives of people (most ordinary working people cannot afford to pay rent etc and stay in very cramped and unhygienic quarters in Hong Kong). HKG inequality is world's worst (Singapore is second), so unless the Chief Executive starts to confiscate land to build equavalent of HDB in Singapore for the HK residents, the HKG young are going to continue to protest until the median income is able to afford some semblance of a proper abode for people to call home.

LKY is probably Singapore's greatest leader whose solutions to unite the nation remains what Singapore can possibly offer to Hong Kong; which would then attract the question that even in applying the LKY Singapore solution, would LKY have achieved it in Hong Kong (or he humji and keep a low profile, migrate to China and become Xi Jingping page boy (arrest the protesters, create a secret police force, secret killing of political adversaries, have elections the like of N Korea (DPRK) which is actually just a population census called an election so it's citizens can believe that they are democratic as by their namesake)) etc etc.

What do you think?:

Kuan Yew the bastard would have cut a deal with the CCP, just like he did while he was in power.

In return, he would have tried to install his eldest son in power and ensure his family got a comfortable life all enjoying ruling over Hongkie peasants, just the way he did in Stinkiepore.

Would Hongkies have accepted it quietly? I doubt it.

Therefore, I conclude Kuan Yew the bastard would have failed miserably in Hong Kong.

Mr LeeKY already said b4 stability is the key, the riot will never to allow to begin with.
5 ppl already arrested.
He will said he will teach or get ppl to teach the protesters a lesson they never will forgot.

My point is will he still confiscate rich people's land to build HDB for all citizens, without any political party affiliation of his own because CE cannot be part of any political party according to the report. I.e. would he accept the sock puppet of Beijing job and fight thanklessly to give social mobility to the poor people of Hong Kong to unite and reassure them that the CE really has their interest (and not primarily that of the rich people at heart).

If he just follow Beijing orders to set up secret police, make political opposition disappear vz murders and jail, then he is just like Joseph Goebbels under Hitler's German National Socialism system of Hitler?:

I.e. the question is what would an APOLITICAL LKY have done. Would he be a Joseph Goebbels or would he just become another rich person who unceasingly attempts to oppress and exploit the poor? ?

If you are a real Sinkie, you would have known Old Fart's character and what motivated him very well.

It is very easy to answer your bait question.

In Hong Kong of today, some of rich people's lands are controlled by Chinese billionaires or Hongkie billionaires with extensive business dealings with the CCP (Chinese Communist Party). Old Fart will not seize their lands without incurring the wrath of these ultra-high net worth people. He has no balls to invite the anger and fury of Beijing.

However......if Old Fart were the CE of Hong Kong in the period post-1965 and pre-1990s, he might be able to succeed in seizing rich people's lands and embark on building public housing infrastructure for Hongkies.

Why u call this a bait question?

Anyway LKY is one of a kind, very much sweet spot.

He would never be HKG governor under British maybe because he is not British.

My main point is to say that many people have forgotten that majority of Singaporeans were given hope by LKY who confiscated land to build HDB. Now, Heng Sweet Keat will not progress very far without confiscating something like estate duties etc or something like that. Even at SMU QnA I recall, HSK also humji, didn't give a good answer to the question about more progressive taxes in Singapore etc.
