the quality of candidates running in the election is a determining factor for the number of spoilt votes. there's no doubt about it.

1. clash of 2
a. when 2 equally good candidates facing off, (more spoilt votes)
b. when 2 candidates face off, 1 preferred, the other villian (lesser spoilt votes)

2. clash of 3
a. when its 3 corners, 2 of 3 r clearly substandard, 1 will be the clear winner (less spoilt votes)
b. when its 3 corners, all 3 r equally good, the disparity will be nominal (spoilt votes minimized)
c. when its 3 corners, 2 of 3 r clearly preferred, 1 will fall out in terms of vote tally (less spoilt voted)

3. clash of 4
a. when its 4 corners, when 3 r better than 1... refer to point 2
b. when its 4 coners, when 2 r better than 2... refer to point 2a & 2c
c. when its 4 coners, when 1 is better than 3 (less spoilt votes)
