unlikely, if they increase rental, drivers will jump ship. then,no one will want to drive for comfort. or other companies also follow suit.:(

the thing which i see already coming and confirmed is that they going to scrap the toyota crown and asked these hirers to take their sonatas at $100+ rental daily...:(

This is as good as raising the rental as the overheads are higher for the drivers.

1. bro, you have forgotten things like: directors' fees, management consultation charges, dividends etc.
2. all in one familee!
 
Taxi drivers have been struggling all the way to make ends meet. We should not forget that they are on the roads up to 12 hours at a stretch per day and this is a very serious matter. Long hours on the road cause much mental and physical stress and can lead to fatique.
The management on the other hand lead a good life and don't seem to accept any advice from the man on the street. As normal (thinking they are the smart alecs) they don't give a damn to the suggestions of people like us. Maybe they have forgotten that there are much more intelligent men and women among us as compared to them and their cronies. The path ahead of them is now collapsing just what is happening for our leaders.
Our unions here claim to do do everything for the people. Will this be the case with the Biggest Taxi operator in Singapore?
The time has come.
