The incumbent will be working individually and in teams. He/She will be performing penetration testing or vulnerability assessment of web application, network, wireless, code and firewall on multi-protocol enterprise systems.

Responsibilities:
•Execution of manual and automated penetration testing techniques.

•Carry out test and vulnerability scans/assessments including infrastructure and web applications.

•Develop and utilize testing methodologies to provide effective technical assurance.

•Maintain an up-to-date emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.

•Perform common attacks such as buffer overflow, cross-site scripting, sniffer, denial of service, war dialling.

•Develop exploits for vulnerabilities.

•Report and explain the result of penetration tests, as well as articulate business implications.

Requirement:
•Degree in Info-communication Security, Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent.

•Minimum 5 years of related working experience in network and/or application penetration testing.

•Proficient in the use of automated Penetration Testing tools e.g. Security Scanners.

•Strong background in TCP/IP and technical experience in networked systems and security products.

•Solid understanding in web application and architectures.

•Strong programming ability in languages e.g. Ruby, Python and Java/ASP or equivalent.

•Understanding of SDLC and ability to perform secure code review is a plus.

Sounds boring. I'd rather be a penetration tester at Geylang...
 
Just ask any of the 60%, why waste time & money advertising, they are already "penetrated tested"....qualified for the job, as penetration testor..they will gladly do for free!!..as a National Service.

Is this within the budget of S$130 million over 5 years?

And IDA has shown that it is not being proactive in its fight against cybercrime.

I hire an ex hacker to test penetrate my sites after every software upgrade. Been doing this since 2003. The IDA is a decade behind sammyboy.
